Services FAQ
How is Empowered Athletics PT different from traditional/ Insurance-based physical therapy?
My goal at Empowered Athletics PT is to revolutionize the care that athletes receive.
Athletes work with me, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, for their entire session instead of being handed off to a less trained staff member after 15-30 minutes.
All physical therapy care is 100% customized to an athlete’s needs (no cookie-cutter exercise programs here).
Because of my extensive experience with the physical demands of sports, I have both the skill and equipment available to incorporate therapy, exercises, and training that are appropriate to prepare an athletes' body for the high demands of sports participation.
I find that with this approach, my clients get out of pain faster, resolve injuries more thoroughly, and learn a lot about their own body in the process.
Do you take my insurance?
To provide the best care for my patients, I am not in-network with insurance companies. You may, however, be able to receive reimbursement for my services under your out-of-network benefits. Upon request, I am happy to check these for you and provide you with a copy of your Superbill receipt after each appointment, which you can submit to your insurance company.
I really want to work with you on my limited budget. What can we do?
I value financial transparency as well as being able to provide high quality therapy services to my community which is why you will find my prices clearly listed on my website rather than suddenly dumped on you after a big sales pitch. Since I operate outside of insurance-dictated rules, there is flexibility in the options I can use to fit the plan for your care to your available budget and resources. With your commitment to doing more of the work on your own and maintaining open channels of communication, we can discuss how we can accomplish our therapy goals with packages, the ability to split a package cost into 2-3 payments, consolidating care into fewer appointments, making use of online programming, or other options.
