Make Your Comeback
Make Your Comeback
My goal at Empowered Athletics PT is to revolutionize the care that athletes receive.
Athletes work with me, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, for their entire session instead of being handed off to a less trained staff member after 15-30 minutes.
All physical therapy care is 100% customized to an athlete’s needs (no cookie-cutter exercise programs here).
Because of my extensive experience with the physical demands of sports, I have both the skill and equipment available to incorporate therapy, exercises, and training that are appropriate to prepare an athletes' body for the high demands of sports participation.
I find that with this approach, my clients get out of pain faster, resolve injuries more thoroughly, and learn a lot about their own body in the process.
The Empowered Athletics Process
Quality, customized, & cutting edge physical therapy that properly prepares athletes to return to the demands of high level training & sports.
-
We work together, as a team, to figure out what is hurting, what may be contributing, establish goals and checkpoints for recovery, and create a plan we can both commit to for getting you back in action.
-
Using gentle movement and techniques like tissue massage, vibration, joint manipulation, cupping, and scraping, we help your body and nervous system to relax in order to decrease pain and swelling.
-
We help your joints recover the ability to move painlessly through their full range of motion and restore their ability to stabilize during everyday activities.
-
Here we gradually build tolerance to all the things you need for your sport: running, jumping, cutting, impact, explosion, acceleration/deceleration, rotational power, energy system capacity (conditioning), and other sport- and position-specific demands so you can return with high performance capabilities and decreased risk of re-injury!
